In the ongoing US culture wars, Oliver Anthony has become an unexpected hero of the right wing - whether he likes it or not. Last week his song Rich Men North of Richmond dropped on a YouTube channel and it brought instant fame to the unknown singer-songwriter, garnering more than two million views in just 48 hours and now well over 20 million. The roughly produced video captures Anthony - a burly figure with a big red beard and guitar - standing in the woods, appearing and sounding as if he's your typical working-class person. "I've been sellin' my soul, workin' all day/ Overtime hours for bullshit pay," he sings. "It's a damn shame what the world's gotten to/ For people like me and people like you."
