Britney Spears’s Husband Files for Divorce

 After being released from a conservatorship that had controlled her life for more than 13 years, Britney Spears married Sam Asghari in June 2022. However, the couple have now gone their separate ways, with Asghari filing for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

 It was one of Spears' first major independent decisions after the court had terminated the conservatorship, and her public anguished plea to the judge that it was abusive.Mathew Rosengart - a lawyer for Spears - declined to comment on the news of her split.
